In my review of Vital, an app that focuses on heart monitoring, meditation, and promoting a healthy lifestyle, I found it to be a useful tool for individuals looking to track and monitor their overall health. While it is important to note that the app is intended for fitness purposes only and not for medical use, it does offer valuable features to assist users in developing better habits.

It's worth mentioning that Vital does have some limitations. It cannot measure blood pressure, oxygen levels, or body temperature, so users should be aware of this when considering its capabilities. Any decisions regarding medical concerns should always be made in consultation with a healthcare professional.

When it comes to measuring your pulse with the app, there are a few tips to keep in mind for accurate results. Make sure to hold your phone steadily and remain calm during the measurement. Place your finger over the back camera and fully cover it. Lastly, remain still until the measurement is complete.

The main functions of Vital encompass several key features that make it stand out. Firstly, Pulse Detection provides users with the ability to quickly and accurately measure their pulse in real-time, with results available in under 60 seconds. Additionally, users can log their blood pressure, oxygen levels, and body temperature. The app also supports generating visualizations that help monitor overall health.

One particularly noteworthy feature is the Energy and HRV monitor. This allows users to track their physical index across various dimensions, including heart age, stress, tension, BMI, and BMR. These metrics provide valuable insights into one's health status.

Vital also offers users the ability to view trend analysis of their measurements over time through graph statistics. This feature helps users understand any patterns or changes in their health data and provides targeted health advice based on this information.

Another benefit of using Vital is the Health Insights section, where users can access heart-healthy content such as exercise routines, articles, tests, and recipes. This content is tailored to assist users in leading a balanced and healthy lifestyle.

Addtionally, the app provides a Mindfulness Moment feature which allows users to listen to relaxing music and calming sounds to aid in meditation and focus. The option to listen to sleep stories and practice breathing exercises is also available, helping users achieve a restful night's sleep.

It's important to note that Vital requires auto-renewing subscriptions to access all of its features. These subscriptions can be purchased for durations of 1 week, 1 month, or 1 year. Payment will be charged to the user's iTunes Account upon confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renewal is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Users have the ability to manage their subscriptions and disable auto-renewal by accessing their Account Settings after purchase.
